Janet Napolitano

"Has this Homeland Security secretary gone absolutely stark raving mad?" Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn, said Wednesday.

"I think the appropriate thing for her to do would be to step down," Rep. Michael Burgess, R-Texas, told Fox News on Thursday.

"Janet Napolitano should resign or be fired," Rep. John Carter, R-Texas, said on Wednesday.

Just a few quotes about the Homeland Security report on right wing extremists possibly recruiting returning war veterans. I think it was one of the biggest blunders to hit the Obama camp(next to taking a book from Chavez and smiling into the cameras the whole time, and don't forget all the upstanding characters he tried to give offices to). I call this a blatant slap in the face for any veteran of any era. Why would we put our lives on the line in Iraq and Afghanistan, only to become domestic terrorists? It doesn't make any sense. This isn't her only blunder in office. I'm with Rep. Burgess. Do us all a favor and step down.

Jackie Chan

"I'm gradually beginning to feel that we Chinese need to be controlled. If we're not being controlled, we'll just do what we want." The above quote was from Jackie chan in a panel discussion about the Asian entertainment industry.

Recently, a representative for Chan said that the quote that has millions of people in an uproar were simply taken out of context. He was talking specifically of the entertainment industry being censored, not the Chinese people as a whole.

Personally, I would come out publicly and put an end to the rumors. Don't send a rep to clean up your mess. The people will react better to you rather than a rep. At this point, it might be too late for Mr. Chan.

My very first blog... Here goes everything.

The very first sentence is always the hardest to write. I've been told by many a person that after all is written, go back and check the first line. Rewrite if necessary. This post might not make it past the second posting... Here it goes...

Bernie Madoff... Just hearing the name sends chills down my back. He's a walking, talking, swindling PR nightmare. I was thinking on how to improve his image. At this point, I don't think it is possible. He will go down in history as one of the worst PR disasters the US has ever seen (right next to the Valdez disaster). I've gotta feel sorry for the guy. The government just seized his Florida vacation home. He still has a few left, thank goodness. Did they have to take his yachts (yes, plural), though? Sad day... Not really.

I've enabled comments. What do you think?
